Twenty-three-year parishioner Phil Lachina drums for The Three Rivers Band and will headline Friday night’s line-up of live entertainment (9 years running). The 3RB is a little big-band with a full country sound and southern rock feel who cover current and classic favorites and play some great original tunes. Seven talented musicians bring decades of experience and versatility to the stage in a high energy performance featuring four lead vocalists, tight instrumental arrangements and a wide-ranging song selection. 3RB founder and singer/song-writer, Jim Cinney, Jr. (“Slim”), plays guitar, dobro and pedal steel, recording his debut CD “Here and Now” over 10 years ago with anthem “Silver Horses” a centerpiece of any 3RB show. Brian “Armadillo” Stark on bass holds down the rhythm section (together with “Philly the Kid” on drums) and sings his tail off on some real crowd pleasers. “Jim-Bob” Harrison plays some soothing rhythm and a “mean” lead guitar alongside Dave “Doc” Hill who sings, plays keyboards and shreds some electric guitar solos you won’t soon forget. On acoustic guitar (primarily) and banjo, lead vocalist “Hootin’ ” Andy Bordokas also wrote some of our original tunes. At Andy’s side, our Elee “Oakley” Bordokas (a.k.a. “Mrs. Hootin’” and expecting their 1st young’un this December) will bring you to your feet and tickle your ears with her awesome voice and wonderful energy. Besides their popularity on the Catholic Festivals circuit, 3RB performs at Conejo Valley Days, the Ventura County Fair, and has eight Relays for Life events to help fight cancer on their resume (a tremendous cause for all!!).
